Message From the Principal

Dear Parents and Students,

As we approach the end of a very busy and successful school year, I would like to thank everyone who served on committees, attended conferences, mentored students, or in any other way supported EMS. While I write this, our students have almost completed taking our State Assessments.  I have been impressed with their positive attitudes and willingness to remain quiet until all students have finished testing.  I am confident that all of the hard work by students, teachers and parents will be reflected in our scores. Although summer break is quickly approaching, please do not let your student take a break from learning.  Please keep your student’s skills fresh by encouraging them to read, write some letters, and use the math skills that they have learned.  South Carolina is full of rich history so even a short trip in the car can be educational.

Mrs. Marlene DeWit, Principal
