Guidance Counselor

Lovetta Wilson

My name is Lovetta Wilson and I am Ebenezer’s School Counselor. My passion for school counseling began during my time as a student at USC Upstate where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and then at Liberty University where I earned my Masters of Science and Certificate of Advanced Study in School Counseling. I have 10 years of teaching experience. What I love most about education is the genuine curiosity students have about their learning and the world around them, as well as the opportunity for intervention support that can have a lifetime positive impact on a child. As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students.

A native of Bisopville, SC, I have two sons, Jordan and Karter. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology at Morris College and Masters of Counseling from South University. I obtained my Global Career Development Facilitator Certificate in 2020. I am bringing 13 years as a mental health counselor from Darlington County School District and the Department of Mental Health. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and sorority sisters. I am excited to be a part of Tiger Nation here at Ebenezer Middle School.
